Terribly, terribly sorry...

Despite all my good ambitions, I have been lousy at posting stuff here. But what to do when life seems to be rushing away from you?

Some news:
* We're not buying the house
* Pam called me last week. It was so wonderful to hear from her. Even though I was just there, I started thinking about going back... It's so wonderful to have more than one home where you know you are always missed and always welcome.
* My summer job seemes to become more than that. I have already been offered a few more weeks and today I found out that one on "my" departement will probably be gone big parts of the fall. Enter MissRut!
* This past weekend I was at a big "lajv". That is a "living roll play" which means it's kind of lika a theater but wihtout the audience. My name was GIlda, I was in charge of the food, I had my very own inn. But I do not recomend to own an inn during the middle ages. Try your self to cook for 100 people for three days without electricity or running water. Good thing my maids were so ambitious and good. I will defenetly post some pictures when I get home, I'm at work right now.
* My car broke down. I do not like it right now. I hope the damage is small enough for my friend Jörgen to weld it together, but the answer will not be known until Saturday. It is probably the silencer.

Still no word...

... from the guy with the house. We gave them an offer, but they haven't responded yet. I don't think they will take it, but it would be nice to know.

Yesterday I was in Brönstjärn, helping dad and Erika to paint. We painted the barn and out houses. Red. I like to paint. Even though I looked like I had the chickenpox when I was done, I really enjoy it. It makes me feel like kid again, to put the thick red goo on the wall and brush it out. And the satisfaction when you're done. Wonderful!

Today I'm at home, doing as little as possible. Which of course means doing lundry, and a thousand other things I have fallen behind on. Then tonight I'm working at the movie theater. Pirates 2 had started playing yesterday. There will be alot of people tonight!

Erika and David went on vacation today, they drove down to Stockholm. David to visit our aunt and cousins and watch a big soccer game, Erika to visit her friends and get set up to go back to Stockholm in August. And tomorrow mom and dad are leavning for their vacation/roadtrip, also to the south of Sweden. Me and Snutte are stuck here. Work, work, work...

But Friday and Saturday will be fun. Friday night me, Snutte, Josse and Micke are going to a concert in Luleå. We're wathcing The Refreshments, Smokie and Status Que. Even though the concert till be for five hours, it will be fun... I hope... Then, Saturday I will take "fancy pictures" of our friends Annelie and Lars, because Annelie is singing at a wedding Saturday night and is getting proffesional make up and everything, so she wanted that day perpetuated. Lars is actually wearing a suit! Have to seize the moment. :)

Growing up...

Ok, well here's for you Betsy, and everybody else reading this. You are not going to belive how grown up we are, me and Snutte. We have actually been looking at a house. We have been there twice and have even been to the bank to see if we can borrow money. It's not very big, only about 180 square feet. Kitchen, bedroom, living room. But then there are two rooms in the basement that are also liveable. We have not decided what to do yet though, they want too much money for it. Or we feel so. But it still feels very grown up. On another note. It is crazy hot here! We have had between 80-90 degrees (Farenheit) for like two weeks now and that is really not usual here. You can only imagine how red I have become... I'm not complaining, it is actually really lovely to know that each day will be as nice as the one before. But some rain wouldn't hurt now.
