Boring weather!

I know I often whine about the weather. And I DO NOT like the snowstorms and big rains that we have had. But I have now realized what is even worse. The weather we have now! 5 degress over freezing (36-40 F). No snow, what so ever! Just gray and dark and rain. And we only have a few weeks until Christmas. Not good. Not good at all! And not very "Sweden-like".

I have had a very nice but busy weekend. We left Friday at 6 pm and came home again midnight last night. Dance contest in Sundsvall, about five hours away. I was, as usual, the team captain. And since the girl who is responsible for our travels didn't go, I had to keep track of everybody outside of the contest too. Count them in, tell everybody what food they had ordered etc. But everybody did really good and we returned home with one gold and a two other medals. But since the elite of Sweden's dancers were there, I think we exceeded the expactations we had.

And the apartement is shaping up. Only a few last touches keft, like our bookshelves and the cooffe table that Mattias picked up today. But soon!

Christmas spirit?

I have started with the Christmas schedule at the movie theater. It doesn't really get me in a "Christmas mood" but almost. I'm just glad I don't have to work so much during Christmas, I have actually worked the last four (or so) Christmas Days, but this year I will not. And, before you get too upset, remember that our "big day" is Christmas Eve. :)

The other thing that is not very wintery is the fact that we have had temperature above freezing for a week now, so all the beautiful snow that we have had has turned into slippery ice and big puddles. I hate that part of winter! And now it's getting dark outside and I'm cold here at work, and I have to be here until midnight. Not a good day today!

like rings on water

It's fun to se how things are spreading. My post from November 7th spread through Ryan's blog all the way to Amy's. Very interesting, both their answers and to see that my life has an effect on other people. Even though it's not much, it's always someting! :)

Seven day week?

About two weeks ago, I was asked if I could work Friday. I said no, since I don't want to be one of those people who works seven days a week. Today they asked me again. But since I already have six days this week sceduled, I once again said no. Still saying no... Tomorrow is my only day of this whole week! No one will be able to take that away from me!

On another note: A girl I used to go to school with (and was best friends with for a couple of years in my childhood) got married in July. Now the rumor says they're getting a divorce. How sad isn't that? And they already have a child together! Sad, sad...
