Never happy?

For some reason, I'm posting a lot of negativity on this blog. I never meant for that to happend. Fun things do happend to me too, even though it doesn't seem like it.

For example: This weekend was a "food festival" here in town and Saturday night my friend Annelie performed with her "show group" for the very first time. So 20 of us, including Annelie's parents, boyfriend, me, Mattias and other friends all ate a delicious buffe there and then we watched her perform. We had a wonderful time and she is just sooo good at singing! I will post some pictures later, I'm at work now for another hour or so.

It sucks!

Out of the 14 latest weekends, I have been working 12 Sundays. That's two off. And besides that I have worked a lot of Fridays and Saturdays too (both day+night) Now, this weekend I am, strangely enough, free all weekend. So of course Mattias' boss schedules him to work both Saturday and Sunday! Crap!

We actually came to the conclusion, Mattias and me, that your bosses should start calling each other before scheduling us to work. Otherwise we never get to see each other. But Mattias' boss, Erik, was nice enough to promise to try to see if anybody else could work Saturday so we can have one day off. I cross my fingers.

On another note: It has rained today. I have to write it because it's weird. It hasn't rained for almost two months. Maybe one or two nights, but that's is. All our lawns are brown and dead. But I still get to wine a little, I hate that fact that my shoes were all wet when I came to work. So now I'm sitting here in just my socks, waiting for my shoes to dry up.

Weird

For two days I'm working as a reporter. It has been a while since I wrote anything of my own, I have "just" done pages with other peoples texts on them. Let's see if I remember how to do this...

The first thing I'm writing about is the "food festival" that is taking place here in Skellefteå this weekend. I'm doing an article about who the plans and build-ups are coming. Exciting, huh?

Grouchy

I still haven't heard from the guy at the café. I'm still crossing my fingers, but I'm guessing he went some other way. I did however got a couple of more days here at the news paper, so that's good.

Guess what? Snutte, Micke and Josse are at a dance right now. I want to too! But no... Work for me...

A new era

My summer job is almost over. We're searching for a bigger apartement and in three hours I'm having a job interview. I would LOVE to work at the newspaper, but since they're not offering me a job, I have to start looking in other places. So I was planning on being like Rachel when she worked at Central Perk. The job is at a cafe. :)

Time off!

Unbelivable. I have almost a week off now. What to do with my time? But that was not completely true, I only have time off my job at the newspaper, I still work two days at the movie theater. But it still feels like I have the time off since I don't work near as many hours there.

The heat wave lingers on. Between 70-90 degress. Every day. For like two months! This is not a usual summer here. Weird actually...

Friday ...

It's calm... almost scary. The "night boss" has his own theory. He thinks that everyone is waiting until 4.40 before they finish and give us their articles. Nobody wants to be done too early on a Friday, then there is a chance you might get more work. Which you don't want a Friday afternoon... But nobody thinks about us. The longer they wait, the longer we sit without having anything to do. Boring!
