My winter wonderland

I took these on my way to work the other day.

It looks pretty cold, huh?

But beautiful...

On our way to IKEA last Sunday.

Americana? Sprinkles mom bought the last time we were in Indiana.

Finally!

In three days is the first wedding I have been invated to since April 8th 2006. I have been to weddings, sure, but I have not been invited. This summer I took on the roll of a "wedding crasher". But I did not go to the actual weddings, just the ceremonies. And that's ok. It's actually the people's on fault that they didn't invite me.

But Saturday I have been invited. To Mattias' sister's wedding. Her second. But the first that I have been invited to. It's going to be a small wedding, only 35 or 40 guests (I'm not really sure about the number there). Mostly family. Can't wait.

Winter wonderings

I walk to and from work every day. It really isn't that bad, it only takes me between ten to fifteen minutes. But sometimes, when I have worked until midnight and it's really cold outside, like last week when it was -25 degrees Celcius (-13 degrees F) it's not really appealing. But today (or tonight, it's 11.23 pm and I dont get off for another 45 minutes), when it's only a couple of degrees below freezing and snowing, big, nice snowflakes, it can be really ok. I'll just turn on my MP3 and take a nice white winter walk home in the snow.

A Grammy to Skellefteå?

Tonight I'm keeping my fingers crossed that a Grammy will be awarded to Skellefteå. Mia, a girl who studied journalism with me, and her friends in Popcore films are nominated for the music video to "Writing on the walls" with Underoath. What if they win? How big isn't that?

Not the same

I just finished watching a really good movie. "Derailed". Directed by a Swede, by the way. The whole movie I felt like I really recognized the lead guy (Clive Owen). You know the feeling? Like you just have seen him in something and couldn't recall what? But then it hit me, he was the guy who played Denny Duquette on Grey's Anatomy. I was sure of it! And I watched the season finally last night, you know, where he dies? :( I was reallt sure...

... until IMDB took my happiness away. Even though they look really much alike, it isn't the same guy. Oh well. I guess you can't win them all...

Seriously though, watch Derailed! You'll be glued to it the whole movie through.

Dark outside

It's 4.20 PM and it's pitch black outside my window. And I will let you know that it has gotten lighter! But winter is still a time of darkness for us.

Last night me and Snutte watched "The Godfather" part 1. Funnily enough, for a movie-freak like me, I have managed to somehow miss it. I have talked about watching it alot of times but have never gotten round to it. But we watched it and I have to say it was really good. Such actors! Such an interesteing story. Tomorrow we're watching part 2 which some people think are even better than the first one.

On my reading list I now have Harry Potter, books 1-4 in English. I have only read the first four in Swedish and book five and six in English, but now I bought them all in English. So I know what I'm doing in my spare-time now and a couple of more weeks.

(It was 4.20 when I started writing, but I forgot to post it before I went to dinner, that's why the times don't match.)
