Summer's here!

Summer is here. Last weekend Skellefteå had the highest temperatures in north of Europe. And the heat and sun are still here. The grass is green and yesterday Mattias' brother graduated. Today they are having a "graduation-dinner" for him and where am I? In bed with a fever and a really, really sore throat. So life could be better than what it is. On the other hand: I finished my big project at work yesterday and next week I'm going back to "normal" work again which right now feels really good. Some ups, some downs...

Long time...

I know that I have been totaly worthless at posting stuff on here. The one and only reason is that I have had problems with what to write. Big things are happening in my life, or are about to happend, and when that is the case, all the small things that I usually tell you about seems insignificant. They do not involve children nor wedding, but other big things that can happend in a persons life at my age. So until I can tell you, I don't know what else to say...

I can however tell you that my day yesterday included both a wedding and a child. Mattias' best friend became a father yesterday morning. A baby girl was born at 3 am and Mattias is hoping to become the godfather. I think that it's just because that ever since we watched "The Godfather", Mattias have been looking for reasons to sound like Marlon Brando... :)
We also attended a wedding last night, a childhood friend of Mattias' who got married. Pictures of that are coming later.

Kind of funny

I have to say, being the movie it was, Wild hogs was still pretty funny. I did not like it as much as Mattias did, his comment when the movie was done: "I want to watch it again". But it was ok. A very "easy" story. Two points (out of five).

Today, I work: 7-4 pm and 6 pm-midnight.
Mattias works: 7-12 and 3-6.30 pm.

See how our shifts overlap? Just to make sure we don't get to see each other. Oh well. We had time to say hi this morning. We have to be glad for the little things I guess...

Wild hogs

Being a boss at the local movie theater, I watch surprisingly few movies. I watched Music and Lyrics last Wednesday and tonight we're going to go see Wild hogs (not my choice) but before that it was a couple of months ago since last time. I work too many nights, so when I don't work, I don't want to spend my time at one of my jobs. But sometimes I have to make myself, because movies are a great entertainment!

Almost Easter

Easter is a big holiday here. Not because alot of people goes to church, but because children has time off school and alot of adults has extra days of work. Usually Easter is a really beautiful time here with lots of snow and beautiful sunny weather so people can go skii, drive snow mobiles and go ice fishing. This year we don't have that luck. Today it started out with snow, went on to sunny weather, then it rained for an hour or so, after that it was really windy and now it's cold and cloudy.

Tomorrow Erika's coming home and then the me, her, mom, dad and three more families are going to Sorsele to skii, or like me, snowboard. The mountain's name is Nalovardo. It sounds funny in Swedish too. :) And I actually have four days off work! Or three and a half, have to go to the movie theater for a couple of hours tomorrow...

Our new car, Peggy Sue. Bought today, I get to pick her up on Thursday. Can't wait! It's a Peugeot 406, -98. Nine years younger than my Toyota. Wonderful!
